Hello everyone. Well there is the list. I think it is pretty obvious that the factor in this army that may catch the enemy off guard is the massive amounts of tanks. I understand if someone is geared to anti tank this list may have trouble.. but for now lets assume the opponents army is not tailored to his list, since it won't be. I have personnaly never use more than 4 eldar tanks in 1 game, so 7 is a big increase.
Tactics for units are as follows:
Farseer: cast doom on units to help out dire avengers and banshees
Banshees: combat, though unsupported. this army is going to try and stay out of combat if possible, it is just a unit that can be used if need be. to maybe help another unit that got accidentally caught in combat. especially the 10 man fire dragon unit, since they don't have the range to stay away from assualt.. so banshees can step in the way.
Fire dragons x10: Kill big monsters, termis/big units, or just marine units. And if need be.. anti tank.
Fire dragons x5: Ride in falcon and bust tanks far away.
Dire avengers: Swarm control, and weaken squads.
Fire prisms: Anti HAEVY tank + anti troop
Falcon: Commited transport for dragons to tank bust... not really gun ship.
All the waver serpents: Bust light vehicles, and support units.
The main problems i can see so far are as follows:
1) Hiding tanks on first turn. I play with lots of cover.. but 7 tanks is a lot.
2) Heavy combat armies... though maybe not so much. If i stay in my transports i don't have to get into combat.. and i can out maneuver a lot before committing to exposing all my units.

Moc65's reply:
-- Farseer: is fine as is; but a Spear wouldn't hurt. (+3)
-- Banshees: I would run a full squad. (+16)
-- Fire Dragons: I would run 2 squads of 6, both with Exarch, Dragons Breath flamer and Crackshot (113 each), helps against Hordes and heavy infantry armies and losses little to anti-tank or big stuff potential. (-46)
-- Dire Avengers: I would run full squads. (+24)
-- Fireprisms: Light weight; but I like them this way as well. (--)
-- Falcon: awesome as you have it. (--)
-- Wave Serepents: I would like to see a few with EML's; but Shuri-cannon would work since you have loads of Anti-tank as it is. (--)
New total 1698
Anyway, 7 tanks are wicked at 1700pts, and few armies can deal with the shear speed and power of Mech Eldar. Your basic tactics look good to go, so "Good Luck" with it and let us know how you do.
Cheers and Happy Gaming.
Chrono's reply
hmm.
I like your ideas!
Though there is a flaw in the math.
I have 15 dragons total right now = 240 pts.
your 2 dragons units cost 226 points = - 14 pts.
Which doesn't save enough for the other changes.
I think the spear on the farseer would be pretty handy, and full squads are great too. The reason they aren't full is because i thought that having double shuricannons on the serpents would end up being a bit more usefull in the long run, no? Also i like naked prisms too, just because they are a such a steal and can try to out range return fire. And i would an EML or 2 as well on the serpents but the points dont' seem to let me.(+5 points over the 2 shuricannons).
I think the only unit that points can be cut from are the 10 fire dragons. If I cut 3 I should have enough points for 1 more bansee, 1 more dire avenger in each unit, the singing spear, and 1 EML on a wave serpent. Now is that worth it?Also, i have never tried dragon exarchs with the heavy flamer. I can see how it makes them very multi purpose. But dragons are dirt cheap and once u add an exarch it bumps the cost up a lot. And i think my anti horde capabilities are alright with the massive amounts of shuricannons, dire avenger, and prism fire. Now. having 7 dragons instead of 10 makes a big difference in terms of hurting potential of a deamon prince or a unit of power armoured foes. Against tanks it doesn't matter. So are the advantages of the changes mentioned above, worth the decrease in strength of that one unit? (3 guys willl kill almost 2 guys from shooting a turn).
